Sherwin Electrical Services llc is an electrical contracting company established in 2005, after recognizing a need for a service company that handles only residential service. Sherwin Electrical Services llc evolved form Sherwin Electric Co., Inc which was founder in 1882. Our family history in the electrical field goes back to 1943, when Sherwin Electric Co, Inc was purchased by Irving Douglas (grandfather) in Burlington, Vt. That company is still owned and operated by the Douglas family today. David and Janice relocated to Richmond, Va in 2001 and decided to make Richmond their home.

We are an upfront pricing company which means to you, our customer, that we charge by the task not by the hour. Our prices are set, so that the customer will always know what the cost will be upfront without any surprises. You pay only the price quoted, no matter how long it takes or what issues we run into. Our company values are built on quality service, integrity and competence.

All of our service technicians are licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and are highly trained. They are not only skilled, but also trained as a consultant for all and any of your electrical projects. Each technician hired by our company must pass stringent guidelines including drug test and background checks. Our technicians are trained to respect your home; by wearing shoe covers, placing carpets under all work areas, and cleaning up when work is completed.
